Naomi Osaka, WTA
Yutaka Nakamura, who has been appointed as the the exclusive trainer for Japanese tennis sensation Naomi Osaka. Naomi is a former World No. 1 and is the first player of Haitian or Asian descent to hold the World No. 1 ranking in singles. She has won five titles on the WTA Tour, including two Grand Slams and two Premier Mandatory titles .
Maria Sharapova, WTA
Nakamura had been the physical trainer for MARIA SHARAPOVA for seven years since 2011 through 2018. In 2014, she regained the French Open title for the 2nd time which became her 5th grand slam title. In 2012, she earned the French Open title for the first time. Then, she completed her career Grand Slam and regained the number one ranking in the world.
Kei Nishikori, ATP
With MMTF (Morita Masaaki Tennis Fund), Nakamura partnered with Legendary coach Nick Bollettieri and Toru Yonezawa to develop the Japanese talent, Kei Nishikori from the age of 13 through 20. He won the ATP title in Delray Beach in 2008 at the age of 18 and became the first Japanese man in nearly sixteen years to win an ATP event.
Shintaro Mochizuki
Sixteen-year-old Shintaro Mochizuki became the first Japanese to win a junior boys championship at a Grand Slam by winning the Wimbledon boys singles final on Sunday, July 14, 2019.
Mochizuki, from Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, has been training in Florida since his first year of junior high-school at the IMG Academy, where Japan ace Kei Nishikori honed his game.
MMTF
Mr Morita has made a tremendous impact on the sport in player development. Through the Masaaki Morita Tennis Fund (MMTF), he has invested in funding for Japanese players to train at IMG Academy, with the intent of producing tennis superstars on the ATP World Tour and the WTA Tour. Yutaka has been with the fund since 2004.
Jessica Korda, LPGA
Begins working with JESSICA KORDA since November 2014. Jessica reached out to Yutaka to help her train to become more athletic. The strong foundation they have built together includes emphasis on her fitness, nutrition, and recovery. They have one goal in mind; to achieve her peak athletic performance in golf.
IMG Academy
October 2018 - IMG Academy has announced the addition of internationally renowned strength and conditioning coach Yutaka Nakamura to the IMG Academy Tennis program. Nakamura will assume the role of Head of Tennis Physical Conditioning. He will oversee all aspects of physical conditioning at IMG Academy.
